Identify Next Steps to Improve Your Land and Operation This July
Acres U.S.A. on-farm intensives are meant for small groups and are different from our large events in hotels and at universities, which feature classroom-style environments. Instead, our intensives are designed to be held on active, working farms to allow you to learn with all five senses, and return home with more than just textbook knowledge. Be ready to learn for two full days!
Gary Zimmer and Leilani Zimmer-Durand, owners of Zimmer Ag, a soil health and biological farming consulting company, will lead a small group on a two-day educational journey at their famous Otter Creek Organic Farm near Lone Rock, Wisconsin. Workshops will demonstrate best practices for cover crops, soil testing, field preparation, equipment/tillage, weed & pest management, fertilizer programs, livestock integration and more. You will walk away with clear, next steps to improve your land’s value and potential.
We know the most effective and trustworthy scenario for education is to learn on the farm, in person, with the ability to use all five of your senses – and there is no better place to do this than Otter Creek Organic Farm. Be ready to get your boots and hands dirty, to ask questions, and to learn by doing, seeing, and experiencing. *Note: This will be a COVID-19 safe event, meaning all attendees will be required to follow current CDC safety guidelines for small events.
We will sell out this event and only have limited spots available. Register today for an early bird price of just $595. Pricing moves to $675 on July 15.
Make a trip out of it! The farm is nestled in a region rich with activities, from state parks to museums to theatre and more. Find your ideal accommodations and make your travel plans today.
